Is this a dream? Have I wished, hoped and waited for so long that I have fooled myself into thinking that my fondest soap payoff is about to come true? Who can say? All signs point to a thrilling story for EJ and Sami that will finally showcase the power of two actors whose characters have a rhythm and chemistry that is extraordinary.
Soaps are the land of the impossible and the improbable. They allow the viewer to take a ride that is not available in the land of reality. They are escapism. They are fun. Who in their right mind would associate with most soap characters? I’m willing to bet not many. Soap characters are flawed. Well, not just flawed, they are criminals, they are immoral, amoral and can change on a dime. But for all that, we love them. And there are no two characters I love more than EJ DiMera and Samantha Brady. Separately, they are interesting. But together, they are like dynamite – explosive and dangerous. Nothing is more deadly in a soap character than to be boring. EJami is never boring.
So I ask myself, is there someone out there in Days of Our Lives Land who is finally willing to mine the riches that can be enjoyed from the long-awaited coming together of EJ and Sami? I think there just might be. I have no insider knowledge. I only know what I see onscreen. If dialogue means anything and one would think there is little time to waste on throwaway words, then, EJami is on the horizon. I am thrilled and filled with anticipation for what is to come. Could it ever possibly fulfill the desires of the many devoted fans of this couple? I have no idea but I’m willing to watch what happens. This “space” has been empty for far too long. EJami fans have watched and waited. EJami is an idea whose time is finally here.
I know…sometimes I feel the same way. So excited, but afraid at the same time. It has been so long since us ejamis have gotten a good story. Or have we ever had one? What excites me so much this time is that there’s no disaster looming in the future. No lies between them, nothing but pure ejami passion
We all feel the same way…. lets hope the powers to be don’t let us down again. Ever since EJ walked into Salem and Sami’s life they were destined to be together. What a shame there has been so many wasted years, months, weeks and days because the powers to be wouldn’t go there. Hopefully this time they will. Each other fanbase has been given their bone (Safe, Ejole, Lumi) its now time for us Ejami fans to be given ours. Seven years is a long time for us to wait. Bring it ALL gloriously on! Can’t wait….
