DAYS 1/15/13: “EJ, when did you become such a Pollyanna?”

So.  It’s been a while folks. But do not interpret our silence as a lack of enthusiasm for EJami. Oh no, on the contrary. We’ve been practically squeeing non-stop over at Forbidden Love since we saw some recent spoilers. Don’t worry we’ll be sharing them soon.  If you can’t wait head on over to FL, they have them there along with some lively discussion about them.

Anyway, alot of us are eagerly anticipating this week and we thought we should ease back into blogging, and start by sharing some pics and thoughts on some recent excellent episodes.  We’ll start with the January 15th episode.

This particular episode had Sami finding comfort in EJ’s arms after a confrontation with Gabi about her grandchild and Will turning to his grandmother instead of Sami. EJ was perfection – he was understanding, there with a (gorgeous) shoulder to cry on, and really giving her the support she’s rarely experienced from any other man in her life.  We’ve noticed a shift in Sami, a realization of how much EJ loves her and her accepting that love.  this is about as Polly as we’ve been in along time, and we loved the reference to Pollyannas by Sami.This is shaping up to be about the best time ever for EJami, and we can’t wait to see it happen.

So, we’ve heard some good news that there is even more great EJami to come (thanks @heyjude14!), which means it’s party time in the old Rogue HQ.  In celebration, we wanted to share with you some caps we made of that fantabulous episode we discussed earlier in the blog.

Our first Rogue EJami contest is here!! The Rogues think it’s the perfect time to flood TPTB’s with positive messages about our beloved EJami and we want to give you a prize for it!

EJami wins SOD Favorite Couple Poll!

Hello friends! We’ve taken a break from our tanning and daiquiris to bring you some positive news. No, we haven’t found Anna DiMera yet, but we’re still working on it.

We’ve heard time and time again that TPTB actually pay attention to the Soap Opera Digest poll. It’s been dominated for a long time by a different Sami pairing, but twice now in the past month EJ and Sami have won the poll!

For all those out there who voted, we’d like to applaud you! The state of EJami is quite poor, but somehow you go on. Your dedication to making your preference heard is admirable. Keep it up!

This Day In EJami: All I Need From You Is, Well, You

The episode begins with EJ trying to send “one of those bragging letters that Americans like so much” to their family and friends for Christmas. Remember that? When EJ was more funny and less shouty? We sure do.

So the scene goes like this, EJ is in a wheelchair (faking, but well, you know, it’s EJ) and he’s trying to get Sami to stick around and “go into the bedroom and connect with some of those feelings” she has for him. Sami has her own agenda. She’s been playing him ever since he got shot and she’s had just about enough (so she thinks). And EJ is really just pushing her to see how far she’ll go.

What happens next is a very sexy fight. She calls him out on faking his paralysis and the fact that he’s been stringing her along. He fights right back and doesn’t give up a thing. And then he confronts her about how she’s sneaking around with Lucas behind his back. She accuses him of spying, he confronts her about Lucas shooting him.

And then EJ comes in with another deal to save Lucas. Let’s not go there, but the banter and stares and all that comes next is a lot of fun to watch. Sami lashes out violently (surprise) and is super sexy as she gets right after him. He grabs her hand and pulls her into him. He says that all she has to do is honor the commitment she made at the wedding. And then they get to spend the rest of their lives together, very happily, as it was meant to be. Of course he tells her all this as he grazes her lip with his fingertips.

She comes right back, “I don’t care what you think was meant to be EJ, I am never sleeping with you, ever again.”

LIAR!! Five months to the day she would totally do it again.

At the time it was a horrible situation for EJami fans. This felt like two huge steps back. But now it’s so fun to watch, because we saw them warm up to each other all over again and it was even better the next time around. When times get tough, it’s good to remember that the icky scenes can one day transform into something better. They are the starting points of a new chapter in their love story.

Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me EJami

Well we recently teased a video which we gave a HUGE hint as to the special treat we have today.

As backstory – there was some (ok, a lot of) begging, pleading, nagging and possible offering of firstborns to get this, but in our humble opinions it was SO worth it.

At the beginning of this month, there was a lot of doom, gloom and all around sadness at the thought of not seeing EJami kissing again, and yet – here we are, about to give you a little taste of the day ahead, like manna from heaven. Enjoy!

Because we had to sacrifice to get this, we hope and pray that everyone who enjoys this little bit will go out and show some EJami love – on the boards, in emails, letters, postcards, you know the drill – to show their appreciation in turn. 

Secondly, if you’re an EJami fan and you haven’t joined yet, you should go to Forbidden Love (member login required) and see the day ahead. It is your duty as an EJami. Yes, there’s a post requirement, but seriously? Gushing about EJami should get you there in no time. ;)
